When Phannet was four, his parents were dead, leaving him and his other 4 siblings in a Buddhist pagoda. The monks have taken care of them since then until Phannet was twelve, and they brought him to SCD on 26th July 2008.
Phannet's future goal is to be a doctor. He likes reading stories and playing football.

Although Pheakdey has both mother and father, he still need to come to SCD for food, school and learning English and computer skills because his parents are very poor. They do not want Pheakdey to follow their miserable path. They wish him to become a well-educated person.
Pheakdey's father brought him here on 16th August 2008. He likes reading story books and drawing pictures. When he grows up, he wants to be an English translator.

Not many farmers in Cambodia know value of good education, but Sokhom's parents do. They brought Sokhom to SCD because they believe she will learn English and computer literacy and other subjects at state-run school.
Sokhom arrived here on 23rd August 2008. She wants to be a shopkeeper. After finishing her homework, she usually does the washing-up and reads next lesson.

Soulang lived with her parents and 5 brothers in a small cottage which is very far from town. She went to the village school near her house, but never had any English or computer lessons. She knows the value of these, so she came to SCD on 9th September 2008.
Her future goal is to be a nurse in her village hospital to help poor people there. She likes reading very much.

Her parents are both farmers working in a small plot of land and found themselves extremely hard to bright up their children to have high education. They wish to see Boroeurn having a good job in her future.
Boroeurn came here on 11th September 2008. She wants to be a shopkeeper because she likes marketing work. She usually reads magazines and cartoon pictures.

He is very good at English. He is usually at the top of the class. His parents pin their hopes on him that he will become a well-educated son for the family and the whole society. They were late for school but they do not want him to be late like them. Therefore, he was given a chance to live here on 16th September 2008.
He prefers to be a lawyer rather than a doctor. He reads, writes and draws for most of his time everyday.

Viny lived in a very big and poor family; he has 5 sisters and 2 brothers. With many children and working as farmers, his parents can not support every child to school; give enough nutritious food, and clothes, so they came to ask SCD for help.
Viny was allowed to live in here on 19th September 2008. He wants to be a teacher. In his free time he likes playing volleyball and football.

Bunna insisted her parents that she wanted to continue her studies at least to high school while they were forcing her to quit school. She won the argument, and her parents agreed to take her to SCD on 22nd September 2008.
She is a trouble-free kid and very helpful. She likes to be a shopkeeper in the future. Usually, she reads draws and paints.

It is very sad for Sreyneang who is eager to learn English and computer skills, but her poor parents can not provide an opportunity. Therefore, on 22nd September 2008, her mother brought her to SCD. Sreyneang pins her hopes on SCD to make her life a change.
Teacher is what she wants to be when she grows up. She likes drawing pictures and singing. She is so active in her English class, too.

Veayo arrived in SCD on 1st October 2008. He wants to be a police officer. He likes playing volleyball and football.
